2 DAY INTENSIVE WORKSHOP
2 Saturdays: May 3rd and May 10th - 10 AM to 4 PM
If
you are interested in lighting your DV and film projects to give
them
a professional look or you're a
DP or Lighting Director shooting for others,
you should take this intensive
12-hour 2-day workshop.
This
course is taught in Drum TV's working studio by Dick Martin,
a retired
member
of Local 600 IATSE,
an experienced DP and an Adjunct Professor of lighting & directing at NYU.
His extensive knowledge
of lighting techniques and no-nonsense approach
to professional
lighting
guarantees a successful workshop for all participants.
"You
will understand electricity and the principles of lighting for
DV and film,
by creating and videotaping hands-on
exercises using studio
and location lighting equipment."
"You will understand
the use of foot candles to create
perfect and
consistent lighting ratios, as well as manipulating contrast
ratios
to create a great film look."
"When
you have completed this workshop, you will be able to produce
projects
on low budgets, using
professional equipment
and creatively light sets of any size and complexity."
The
experience you will gain from this workshop will enable you
to
develop skills that will increase as you
use them in practical
applications. You will "never again" shoot a poorly lit
project.
Remember: a videographer
that does not know how to light is just another shooter.
